Sun City Center is Centrally Located
If there’s one thing the residents of the well known 55+ community Sun City Center believe in, its the tried and true real estate axiom of “location location location”.
Sun City Center is surrounded by five popular Florida cities known for their arts, culture, restaurants, shopping, and beautiful scenery: Tampa, Sarasota, St. Pete, Clearwater and Bradenton.
If you can’t find what you’re looking for in Tampa, Florida probably doesn’t have it.
Great shopping, great restaurants, attractions like Busch Gardens, professional baseball, football and hockey, and so much more. Yes, Tampa is considered one of Florida’s big cities but you might be surprised to learn that the population is only about half the size of that in Miami, so its really Florida’s little big city. Let’s not forget the easy access to the Cruise Port in Tampa as well as Tampa International Airport.
And for things like healthcare, shopping and entertainment, its great to be near a big city. But residents of Sun City Center probably spend just as much if not more time in the surrounding cities we’re taking a look at next.
Sarasota is known as being a hub of art and culture. From museums like The Ringling to art festivals, there are no shortage of exciting options here. Combine that with boutique shopping, great beaches and outstanding restaurants, and you can see why Sun City Center residents consider Sarasota their hidden gem.
With an average of 361 days of sunshine each year, and a Guinness World Record for logging the most consecutive days of sunshine (768 days), St. Pete is often referred to as “The Sunshine City”.
St. Pete is home to the famous Salvador Dali Museum, as well as Fort De Soto Park, a 1,136 acre park made up of five interconnected islands. American Style magazine ranked St. Petersburg its top mid-size city in 2011 because of its vibrant arts scene.
Clearwater is considered by many one of the best places in all of Florida to hit the beach. Although I live on the beach on the East Coast, its not unusual for me and my family to make the trip over to Clearwater for the weekend.
Beautiful stretches of white sand and crystal clear water make it a great beach destination. Even if you aren’t a beach person, there are plenty of other great attractions, shopping, and dining to keep you busy for an entire day. If you go, you’ve got to check out Frenchy’s Rockaway Grill, one of my favorite restaurants in all of Florida.
Bradenton is known for its rich history, its thriving artist community, and for being the winter home of the Pittsburgh Pirates and the summer home of the Bradenton Marauders. Let’s not forget the awesome gulf beaches.
Bradenton also offers some unique attractions that you won’t find in just any old Florida town.
Getting Here is Easy:
If location is at or near the top of your list, you’d be doing yourself a disservice by not checking out Sun City Center and the surrounding area.
